Key Differentiators
The reliable Cessna platform allows for a uniquely versatile special mission aircraft. The MC-208 Guardian can move seamlessly from ISR to CASEVAC/MEDEVAC to precision strike, eliminating the need for multiple specialized platforms. See what makes it different.
Air Operable Roll Up Door
Operable by the pilot, an Air Operable roll up door easily supports logistics for ground troops from air drops for food or medical supplies to transport for CASEVAC/MEDEVAC missions.
Ku Antenna System
Antenna system enables Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) satellite communications for voice and data transmission.
EO/IR Sensor
EO/IR for HD full-motion video turret, enabling objective surveillance and laser designation for weapons targeting.
Landing Gear and Brakes
Upgraded landing gear and brakes increase maximum takeoff and landing weight on unimproved runways and austere conditions.
Hardpoints
Four wing-mounted hardpoint pylons can hold up to 525 pounds each. The MC-208 Guardian is SEEK Eagle certified for use of APKWS, Hydra 70, and AGM 114 munitions.
Fuel Tank
Internal fuel tank extends range and endurance to a total mission duration of nearly eight hours.
Air Mobility
The MC-208 is capable of supporting the air mobility mission set with cargo and personnel airdrops, Infil/Exfil of SOF personnel on austere runways, and CASEVAC/MEDEVAC operations.
CASEVAC / MEDEVAC
Unlike smaller aircraft with space for only two crew members, the MC-208 provides the option for life-saving extraction to trauma centers outside the battlefield without reconfiguration.
Deployability
Disassembly of the MC-208 Guardian for C-17 transport can be done with only 5 crew in 4.5 hours with reassembly taking 8 hours, putting the aircraft on the ground and mission-ready almost anywhere in the world within 48 hours.
ISR
The MC-208 Guardian is a situational awareness, driver-integrated aircraft with the cutting-edge digital architecture of a high definition (HD) full motion video electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) sensor. This technology serves as the eyes of the operator and provides detailed intelligence data including long-range surveillance, target acquisition, tracking, and targeting for laser-guided munitions.
Precision Strike
The MC-208 Guardian can be armed with up to eight Hellfire missiles and as many as 14 Advanced Precision Kill Weapons Systems (APKWS) laser-guided rockets for smaller targets. Hydra 70 Folding Fin Rockets can either lay down suppressive fire to enable troop movement or pinpoint exact targets with laser designation.
